Taff Roberts

Taff Roberts

Hywel Taff Roberts, a native of Wales, joined the Royal Air Force after high school. After wandering around Europe and North Africa he sailed across the Atlantic in a small boat. His first paying job in the U.S. was as a clam digger in eastern Maine. As an avid sailor he has made his living delivering yachts across the atlantic and as a  commercial fisherman on the Grand Banks and Pacific Northwest.

On a trip to Monhegan Island Maine in 1979 he viewed his first Rockwell Kent painting and since then he has been an avid Kent fan. Roberts has delivered several presentations on Kent and his art.

Taff Roberts resides in Winona and is the Festival Coordinator for Rockwell Kent in Winona: A Centennial Celebration.
